The Certificate in Managing Human Resources is a series of courses in which students learn the fundamentals of Human Resources (HR) and how the different HR functions work together to strategically support organizations. Students apply their knowledge through class projects and have the chance to work with local businesses to gain applicable experience.
This certificate is open to all concentrations in the College of Business except the Human Resources Concentration. It is also open to Psychology majors.
Learning Objectives
Students will:
- Develop essential skills and knowledge needed for entry-level Human Resource (HR) roles across various industries.
- Learn about human resource strategies that are legally compliant and ethically sound.
- Understand how effective HR management enhances organizational success.
- Learn how to build socially sustainable workplaces.
